I am Wendy Tan Shiau Wei, a freelance illustrator and storyboard artist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
My interest in storytelling began with film and animation while working as a storyboard artist and visual development artist in the Malaysian animation industry.
Today, I love using illustration to tell stories through my work, often implementing dramatic colour and lighting. My work ranges from character design and product design for the animation and toy industry, to the publishing industry to illustrate book covers, picture books and middle-grade books. My recognizable works are Pets Rule! series, Girls Survive series, Shakespeare Graphic Novel and many more!
During my free time, I enjoy reading, travelling, and spending time with my family and my puppy, Lucky.
